Full Ranson wins Miesque Stakes at Hollywood Park

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Full Ransom won the $100,250 Miesque Stakes for 2-year-old fillies by a head over Savings Account at Betfair Hollywood Park on Saturday.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Full Ransom ran one mile on the turf in 1:37.51 and paid $26.80, $10.80 and $8.20 at 12-1 odds. She is 2-0 on the turf.

Savings Account returned $8.80 and $7.60, while 21-1 shot Sushi Empire was another 112 lengths back in third and paid $10.60.

The victory, worth $60,000, increased Full Ransom’s career earnings to $93,300.

“The greatest thing about 2-year-olds is they’re as honest as the day is long,” winning trainer Jim Cassidy. “They haven’t figured out anything bad yet.”

In the $100,250 Generous Stakes, Global View defeated Aotearoa by 114 lengths.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, Global View ran a mile on the turf in 1:36.25 and paid $6.40, $3.60 and $2.40 as the 2-1 second choice.

Aotearoa returned $4 and $2.80, while Royal Banker was another three-quarters of a length back in third and paid $3.40 to show in his U.S. debut.

Global View increased his career earnings to $93,300.
