ORONO, Maine (AP) — Alex Mitola, Connor Boehm and Dartmouth showed little rust from a two-week layoff, using two big runs in the first half to race away from Maine 81-56 on Sunday afternoon.

Mitola went off for a season-high 19 points and Boehm hit 7 of 10 shots for 15 points, also a season best to lead Big Green (3-1). Dartmouth hadn’t played since Nov. 16 and was playing its first road game of the season.

Maine drew first blood and maintained narrow leads until the Big Green made a 9-0 run to lead 26-25 with 4:09 left in the opening half.

Dartmouth finished those last four minutes at a 13-5 clip, led 39-30 at the break and never trailed in the second half.

Kevin Crescenzi finished with 14 points and John Golden, who put Dartmouth over the top in the first half, added 12.

Zarko Valjarevic led Maine (1-5) with 17 points.
