TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State’s Cameron Erving has been chosen the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference offensive lineman of the year.
The junior left tackle is the sixth player in school history to win the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for the No. 1-ranked Seminoles.
Erving started all 12 games in 2013 and protected Heisman Trophy contender James Winston’s blind side. He’s started 26 consecutive games after switching from the defensive line in 2012. Erving anchored a scoring offense ranked second in the FBS that set an ACC record with 644 points.
Coach Jimbo Fisher says, “He’s really developed into a fine offensive lineman. He’s put in a lot of hard work and is a true team player. He has a bright future playing there, and I’m very proud of him for what he’s contributed to our success.”
