GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Cedrick Williams scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds and UNC-Wilmington held off high-scoring East Carolina 70-68 on Sunday.

Addison Spruill and Shane Reybold added 15 points each for UNC-Wilmington

UNC-Wilmington (5-5) led most of the first half but Caleb White’s 3-pointer tied the score at 31 going in to the break.

Wilmington gave up the lead to the Pirates (45-43) at eight minutes into the second half, but neither team could stay in front during the second half until three layups by Freddie Jackson and a dunk by Williams put the Seahawks up by five with 25 seconds left.

East Carolina (6-1) fought back, closing to within two points, but Cedrick Williams blocked a potential game-tying layup by Prince Williams at the buzzer in getting the win.

Paris Campbell led the Pirates with 15 points and Brandon Stith grabbed 13 rebounds.
