‘Principal of the Year’ visits U.S. Capitol

Brush Prairie — Vancouver’s James Johnston, principal at Alice Ott Middle School in Portland and recent Oregon Middle School Principal of the Year, visited with Oregon lawmakers in Washington, D.C., last month to lobby for education and the need for more technology funding. Johnston was at the U.S. Capitol to be honored as one of the top school leaders in the country during a celebration by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
