Reality just keeps getting stranger. Here’s a quote from the Sept. 27 story “C-Tran approves light-rail plan” regarding the financing of light rail: “‘I hardly know what to say. This is about the most stupid thing I’ve ever seen in my life,’ Madore said. ‘Big decisions of this magnitude, this is not the way you make them.'”
Where was Commissioner David Madore in May when Don Benton was “cronied” into a job with no qualifications? Oh yeah, that’s right, he was there. Maybe he’s picking nits regarding the magnitude. So, we have a six-figure annual salary and a to-be-determined pension obligation. Most expensive is the potential damage to the morale of the county staff and environment. That quote is about the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard.
