ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Purim’s Dancer won the $58,000 feature for fillies and mares by a half-length Friday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Gary Stevens, Purim’s Dancer ran 612 furlongs on the downhill turf course in 1:12.02 and paid $3.80, $2.60 and $2.10 as the 4-5 favorite in the field of five. It was her fourth win in five starts on the turf course.
A Time to Love returned $4.60 and $2.80, while Minds Eyes rallied from next to last at the top of the stretch to finish another nose back in third and paid $2.20 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased Purim’s Dancer’s career earnings to $181,200, with five wins in 10 starts.
