Flay Mignon scores easy win in Monmouth feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Flay Mignon went wire-to-wire to win the $60,000 Jersey Juvenile Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Charleymillionaire by 534 lengths.

Ridden by Paco Lopez and trained by Eddie Plesa Jr., the 2-year-old filly ran six furlongs over a fast track in 1:11 and paid $3.40, $2.10 and $2.10. It was the third win in four career starts for Flay Mignon, who has earned $112,400.

Charleymillionaire returned $3.20 and $2.20, while She’s Hot Wired was 834 lengths back in third and paid $2.20.
