FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have activated running back Mike Goodson after he was suspended the first four games of the season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
The move Saturday means Goodson is now a part of the Jets’ 53-man roster after being an exemption following his return Monday from suspension. He practiced all week and is now eligible to play in New York’s game at Atlanta on Monday night.
Goodson was dealing with some hamstring tightness at practice Friday, but it appears that is not an issue. The team’s injury report from Saturday’s practice had not yet been released.
The Jets also signed wide receiver Michael Campbell from the practice squad, and released linebacker Ricky Sapp and wide receiver Ryan Spadola from the active roster.
