SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) — Henry Furman passed for 199 yards and two touchdowns as Yale rallied from a 10-7 halftime deficit to beat Cal Poly 24-10 on Saturday.

Furman was 19 of 33, connecting with tight end Keith Coty and wide receiver Chris Smith for two Bulldog touchdowns. Running back Tyler Varga had 26 carries for 114 yards.

The Mustangs’ Bobby Zalud kicked a 53-yard field goal as the first half ended, giving Cal Poly a 10-7 lead at the break.

But the Bulldogs (3-0) rallied in the second half, holding the Mustangs (2-3) to just 37 yards on 18 plays in total offense and scoring 14 unanswered points including a 31-yard Parker Toms field goal.

A third-quarter Cal Poly touchdown on a 67-yard pass from Chris Brown to freshman Cam Akins was wiped out by an illegal formation penalty. Brown passed for 104 yards and was intercepted twice by the Bulldogs.
