CLEVELAND (AP) — Less than a week after the Indians’ turnaround season ended with a playoff loss, manager Terry Francona has already made changes for next season.

Francona said Monday that third-base coach Brad Mills will rejoin him in the dugout as his bench coach in 2014. Mills spent four seasons (1997-2000) as Francona’s bench coach in Philadelphia and six (2004-09) alongside him in Boston. Francona said Sandy Alomar Jr. will return to first base after one season as bench coach and that first-base coach Mike Sarbaugh will replace Mills at third.

There could be more changes if Alomar is hired as a manager. He is reportedly a candidate with the Chicago Cubs.

Francona and Indians general manager Chris Antonetti discussed Cleveland’s 92-win season, which ended with a loss to Tama Bay in the wild-card game, and offseason plans.
