BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills continued addressing their injury-depleted depth at quarterback by signing free agent Dennis Dixon to the practice squad.

The Bills (2-3) made two other moves Tuesday, signing linebacker Ty Powell off the New York Giants’ practice squad, and promoting cornerback Brandon Smith off their own squad.

Dixon signed two days after he and fellow free-agent quarterback Pat White worked out in Buffalo. The Bills are down at the position after rookie starter EJ Manuel sprained his right knee in a loss to Cleveland last week.

Thad Lewis has since been promoted off Buffalo’s practice squad and will start against Cincinnati (3-2) on Sunday.

Dixon has three starts in four career games in three seasons with Pittsburgh. He spent this past offseason with Philadelphia before being cut Aug. 31.
