A Vancouver man remains hospitalized after crashing an ATV while on Larch Mountain Saturday morning.

Vladimir Kovalev, 29, remains in satisfactory condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He was initially reported as being in critical condition.

Kovalev was riding a Yamaha Raptor 700 about 3:30 a.m. when he went off a road on Department of Natural Resources land.

Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Dennis Pritchard said that alcohol may have played a role in the mishap but that no crime was committed.
