TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — University of Arizona baseball coach Andy Lopez was released from a hospital Friday, four days after having triple bypass surgery.

“Finally home and it feels great,” Lopez tweeted. “Can’t rush the process but looking forward to being out on the field again! Thanks for the prayers/support.”

The 59-year-old Lopez will return to coaching after he’s cleared by doctors.

Lopez led the Wildcats to the 2012 national championship and has a 437-267-1 record in 12 seasons at the school. He’s 1,124-685-7 in 31 years at Cal State-Dominguez Hills, Pepperdine, Florida and Arizona.
