PeaceHealth said Thursday it has named Josiah “Sy” Johnson as the new CEO and chief mission officer for the PeaceHealth Columbia Network. The decision is effective Nov. 1. Until then, Johnson will continue to serve as chief administrative officer for PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, a position he assumed in September.

Johnson has been an “integral part of PeaceHealth since he began as a CFO at St. John Medical Center in Longview in 2002,” Alan Yordy, president and chief mission officer of PeaceHealth, said in a news release. “He has shown tremendous leadership these past few months as we have begun to navigate a new health care landscape in Vancouver.”

He will report directly to Yordy.
