WILLIAMSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Mikal Abdul-Saboor rushed for a game-high 100 yards and three touchdowns as William & Mary defeated Penn 27-14 in a nonconference game on Saturday.

The Tribe (4-2) cruised to a 21-0 lead before Penn (2-2) launched a rally in the fourth quarter, scoring quickly on a pair of Billy Ragone TD passes to Ryan O’Malley and pulling to within a touchdown with nearly eight minutes to play.

William & Mary then launched a grinder of a drive, covering 75 yards with 12 rushes by Abdul-Saboor and Jarrell Cooper that ate nearly six of the final eight minutes. Abdul-Saboor — who rushed seven times on the drive — scored from the 1. He finished with 23 carries.

Ragone was sacked deep in his own territory on Penn’s game-opening drive, fumbling the ball at the 12. Abdul-Saboor pounded for five carries to score and put William & Mary up 7-0.
