EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is active and will play against the Pittsburgh Steelers after a knee injury late in the week made his status uncertain.
Cromartie was questionable for the game Sunday after hyperextending a knee in practice Thursday, and an MRI exam revealed the injury to be not as serious as initially feared.
Wide receiver Santonio Holmes and cornerback Dee Milliner are both out with hamstring injuries. Quarterback Brady Quinn is also among the team’s inactive players.
With Kellen Winslow Jr. suspended four games for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing drugs, tight end Zach Sudfeld is active for the first time.
