Jordan, Bethune-Cookman outruns Howard 27-6

WASHINGTON (AP) — Anthony Jordan ran for two first quarter touchdowns and Bethune-Cookman rolled up 480 yards of total offense en route to a 27-6 victory over Howard on Saturday.

Eight Wildcats combined to rush for 208 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Howard , which came into the game leading the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in total offense (396.4) and passing yards (239.4), was held to just 186 total yards, 120 passing. The Bison (1-5, 0-3) converted just 2 of 13 third downs.

Quentin Williams, Jackie Wilson and Brodrick Waters combined to complete 17 of 25 passes for 272 yards for Bethune-Cookman (5-1, 2-0).

The Wildcats have now allowed 13 points or fewer in each game this season, save for a 54-6 loss at Florida State on Sept. 21.

John Fleck connected of field goals of 39- and 24-yards in the second quarter; Howard’s only points of the game.
