Sacred Heart defeats Central Connecticut St. 59-36

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — RJ Noel accounted for four touchdowns and Sacred Heart surpassed the 50-point mark for the second time of the season while defeating Central Connecticut St. 59-36 Saturday.

Noel was 17-of-25 passing for 297 yards, including two TD passes to Tyler Dube. Noel’s first TD to Dube was a 72-yard strike early in the third quarter which gave the Pioneers (6-1, 1-1 Northeast Conference) a 38-19 lead. The two connected again for a 6-yard TD to stretch the lead to 59-33 with 6:41 to play.

Noel had a 16-yard touchdown pass to Moses Webb, and also rushed for a 1-yard TD. Keshaudas Spence rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns for the Pioneers.

CCSU (2-5, 1-1) pulled within nine when Rob Hollomon rushed for a 4-yard TD in the second quarter. Hollomon finished with two rushing TDs, and caught a 2-yard scoring pass from Nick Sangiacomo to lead the Blue Devils.
