PORTLAND — Police say the driver of a silver sedan was apparently speeding when the vehicle crashed into a power pole and parked car in Portland early this morning.

The driver was deceased when emergency personnel arrived at the single-vehicle crash at Southwest Barbur Boulevard and 30th Avenue, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The crash was reported at 2:42 a.m.

The intersection will remain closed for several hours while the Traffic Division’s Major Crash Team investigates.
