DETROIT (AP) — Detroit manager Jim Leyland is shaking up his lineup before Game 4 of the AL championship series.

Torii Hunter will bat leadoff for the Tigers and Miguel Cabrera is hitting second. Slumping outfielder Austin Jackson — the usual leadoff hitter — has been dropped to eighth in the order.

Detroit trails 2-1 in the series after losing 1-0 in the Game 3. The Tigers have gotten great starting pitching, but it’s gone to waste the last couple games.

The new lineup doesn’t really change who bats after whom. Aside from Jackson dropping to eighth, everyone else essentially moves up one spot except for shortstop Jose Iglesias, who bats ninth.

Jackson is 3 for 33 with 18 strikeouts in this year’s postseason.
