Chief Umtuch Middle School hosts bullying workshop

Parents and community members are invited to a bullying workshop from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Chief Umtuch Middle School, 700 N.W. Ninth St., Battle Ground.

Speakers are Mary Jadwisiak, Youth Suicide Prevention Program and Joshua Phelps, detective and Jason Arrowsmith, officer, Battle Ground Police Department.

Topics include bullying and cyberbullying, preventing and intervening in bullying incidents, state law that outlines reporting options and responsibilities for parents and schools.

No registration is necessary. Child care will be provided.
