PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Wally Joyner and Juan Samuel are returning as coaches for the Philadelphia Phillies under manager Ryne Sandberg.
Joyner will continue in his role as assistant hitting coach. Joyner, who declined a return at first, will be back for his second season with the Phillies.
Samuel heads into his fourth season with the team and second as first-base coach.
Sandberg, who replaced Charlie Manuel in August, hired former Phillies manager and shortstop Larry Bowa to be his bench coach.
The Phillies are still looking for a pitching coach to replace Rich Dubee.
