BASEL, Switzerland (AP) — Top-ranked Rafael Nadal has pulled out of next week’s Swiss Indoors due to fatigue.

Nadal has played 74 competitive matches since recovering from a knee injury in February, which had kept the Spaniard out for seven months. He has lost only five times.

On his Facebook page, Nadal writes, “Hi all, sorry to announce that I won’t travel to Basel in Switzerland but after very exhausting weeks I have to regroup my fitness and my body.”

Nadal’s next tournament is now scheduled to be the Paris Masters, starting Oct. 28, before the ATP World Tour Finals in London on Nov. 4.
