TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — The NCAA has cleared Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to return for Saturday’s Arkansas game.

The NCAA reinstated Clinton-Dix on Friday after he served a two-game suspension, according to a statement released by Alabama. The Crimson Tide star was suspended indefinitely for accepting a short-term loan of less than $500 from assistant strength and conditioning coach Corey Harris, possibly violating NCAA rules about student-athletes receiving extra benefits.

Harris was placed on administrative leave.

Clinton-Dix remains second on the team with 24 tackles and is a possible first-round NFL draft pick. Alabama routed Georgia State and Kentucky in his absence with Landon Collins starting in his place.

Clinton-Dix was the ninth player suspended or dismissed for off-the-field issues since last season’s win over Notre Dame in the BCS championship game.
