Dodgers acquire minor league OF Hazelbaker

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers have acquired minor league outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker and cash considerations from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for outfielder Alex Castellanos.

Hazelbaker spent this season with Triple-A Pawtucket, batting .257 with 11 home runs and 54 RBIs in 121 games. He was fifth in the International League with 37 steals.

The 26-year-old outfielder from Muncie, Ind., has compiled a .258 batting average with 194 steals, 60 home runs and 247 RBIs in 530 games in his five professional seasons after being selected by Boston in the fourth round of the 2009 first-year player draft out of Ball State.

Castellanos had been designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Oct. 17.
