NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Rob Hollomon ripped through the Salve Regina defense to score three touchdowns, leading Central Connecticut State to a 47-13 victory Saturday.

Hollomon, who amassed 212 yards on only nine carries, had touchdown runs of 43 and 29 yards in the first quarter. He added a 94-yard touchdown dash in the second quarter, as CCSU (3-5) easily pulled away to a 35-0 halftime lead. Nick Sangiacomo added to the total as he was 11 of 15 passing for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Tyrell Holmes pulled in three passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Trailing 14-0 in the first quarter, the Seahawks (5-2) drove 62 yards to CCSU’s seven-yard line. Chris Linares intercepted Steven Wilken’s pass to end that threat. Salve Regina mounted another drive to CCSU’s 30 when Linares also thwarted that effort when he picked off another pass.

Wilken had two touchdowns as he threw for 158 yards.
