Clark’s Duffy, McCarthy place 4th at regional meet

Clark College freshman Andrew Duffy placed fourth at the NWAACC Southern Regional cross country meet Saturday at Oregon City.

Duffy, a Camas High grad, finished the 8K course in 26 minutes, 3.96 seconds.

Clackamas runners swept the top three spots with Badane Sultessa winning in 25:46.01.

The Clark men placed third in the five-team meet with 72 points. Clackamas won with 26, followed by Lane with 53.

Niamh McCarthy, a Union High grad, topped the Clark women by placing fourth in 19:22.38 on the 5K course.

The Clark women were fourth out of six teams with 87 points. Lane won with 24.
