Camas’ Jonathan Ho earned a bit of payback, and a district championship at the same time.

Ho beat Tanner Blake of Union 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 to capture the Class 4A boys tennis district singles championship Saturday at the Vancouver Tennis Center.

Ho lost to Blake in a league dual match earlier this month.

Both Ho and Blake will advance to next week’s 4A bi-district tournament in Tumwater. Blake will play Skyview’s Isaac Ballew on Monday for seeding to the bi-district tournament.

It was an all-Union affair in the doubles final as Alex Chanthavong and Jacob Buckley beat teammates Andrew Chanthavong and Colton Chambers 6-1, 7-6 (4).

Skyview’s Alex Sheppert and Hung Truong won the consolation title to earn a bi-district berth.

River shines at 3A district — Dominik Gorecki beat teammate Dylan Koester for the singles title as Columbia River won the team crown at the Class 3A boys tennis district tournament at Club Green Meadows.

Gorecki beat Koester 6-1, 6-4. Another Columbia River player, Owen Carlson, won the consolation title to earn a berth to the 3A bi-district tournament next week in Tacoma. Koester and Carlson will play on Monday for seeding to the bi-district.

In doubles, second-seeded Colton Reed and Nick Shiraishi of Mountain View scored a minor upset, beating top-seeded Ian David/Lane Cooper of Columbia River 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 for the district title.

Columbia River’s Nick Skimas and Joe Colson won the consolation final to earn the third seed to the bi-district.
