The Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council has hired four employees to boost the nonprofit’s workforce training and employment services to businesses and people in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties.

Justin Evers is the organization’s integration coordinator, a new position that will bring the council’s employment services to individuals through organizations serving them.

Chelsea Jackson, youth initiatives manager, will develop, implement and manage strategies and programs to expose youth to training and employment opportunities for the region’s high-demand jobs.

Lee Ann Lawrence, employer services manager, will assist employers with funding and training resources to increase the skills of their existing employees and to connect them with worker recruitment services.

Julia Maglione, communications manager, is responsible for public relations, including the council’s websites, social media and printed materials.
