PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Matt Antoine rallied in the second heat Tuesday night to finish off a sweep of all four races in the U.S. men’s skeleton national team trials, virtually ensuring him a spot on the World Cup circuit this winter.

Antoine’s two-run time on the 2002 Olympic track was 1 minute, 40.99 seconds. He was 0.1 seconds ahead of John Daly, who led by 0.14 seconds at the midway point before Antoine beat him by nearly a quarter-second in the second run. Kyle Tress was third, another 0.64 seconds back.

Noelle Pikus-Pace completed a dominant sweep of the women’s trials, winning again Tuesday in 1:43.00. She was 0.78 seconds better than Kimber Gabryszak and 1.32 seconds faster than third-place Annie O’Shea.

The national teams will be selected Wednesday.
