COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned forward Cody Bass to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.
Re-signed by the club to a one-year, two-way (NHL/AHL) contract on July 5, Bass appeared in three preseason games with Columbus prior to breaking a bone in his hand on Sept. 23 vs. Minnesota.
The 26-year-old Bass appeared in 18 games with the Falcons in 2012-13, scoring two goals with five assists. The 6-foot, 210-pound forward has appeared in 48 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Ottawa Senators, recording two goals and three assists.
He was Ottawa’s third pick, 95th overall, in the 2005 NHL draft.
