CAIRO — Egypt’s deputy prime minister says the Muslim Brotherhood must renounce violence and accept the military-backed roadmap for the country’s transition before it can join the political process.
Ziad Bahaa-Eldin, speaking to reporters Tuesday, blamed the Brotherhood for the “continuation of the atmosphere of violence” since the ouster of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi in July 3.
