Stan Bishoprick of Vancouver, founder and owner of Exterior Wood Inc. in Washougal with deep family roots in Clark County, died Friday. He was 76.

Bishoprick founded Exterior Wood, which sells treated lumber for construction and fencing, in 1977. The company now has 90 employees, said Dave Perry, the company’s president. In 1994, Bishoprick founded Legendary Yachts Inc., also based in Washougal. The four-employee company, run by Bishoprick’s son-in-law Will Pollard, makes vintage wood yachts.

Bishoprick is survived by his wife, Nancy of Vancouver; children Stanley James “Rick” Bishoprick, Kelsi Pollard and Kiel Bishoprick; and seven grandchildren. Other survivors include his sisters, former U.S. Rep. Jolene Unsoeld, Kareen Messerschmidt and Wenonah Purchase.

Memorial services will be held in mid-November.
