DENVER (AP) — The Denver Nuggets have exercised their fourth-year contract option on forward Kenneth Faried and third-year option on point guard Evan Fournier.
The team announced the moves on Wednesday, hours before they tipped off the season. The options are through the 2014-15 season.
With his high energy style of play, Faried has been a fan favorite since he was taken with the No. 22 pick in 2011. He averaged career-highs in points (11.5) and rebounds (9.2) last season.
Fournier averaged 5.3 points and 1.2 assists in 38 games last season as a rookie. He was the 20th pick in 2012.
