LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — First-year coach Kliff Kingsbury thinks the past two games against Oklahoma State are motivation enough for Saturday night.

Last year the Red Raiders lost at No. 18 Oklahoma State 59-21. Two years ago in Lubbock the Cowboys left with 66-6 win.

Kingsbury has plastered the number 98 on signs around the locker room at No. 15 Texas Tech (7-1, 4-1). That’s the combined points by which the Red Raiders lost the past two games to Oklahoma State (6-1, 3-1).

Both teams need a win to stay in the hunt for the Big 12 title.

The Cowboys come into the game on a three-game win streak.

Oklahoma State got its running game going last week, but coach Mike Gundy knows that might not be enough.
