BREMERTON — A man who was stranded on a Port Washington Narrows beach when the tide came in at Bremerton called 911 for help and was arrested by police Oct. 5 after the water receded.

The Kitsap Sun reports the 44-year-old man had cut off an ankle monitor the day before. He was supposed to be serving 35 days on home detention for drunken driving.

The man’s sentence was increased to 51 days, which he is now serving high and dry in jail.
