BOSTON (AP) — Red Sox right fielder Shane Victorino has left Sunday’s game against the White Sox with a bruised left hip.

Victorino, who has had to scrap switch hitting the past couple of weeks and batted only from the right side due to nagging injuries, dove into first base in the fourth inning.

He left the game after his at-bat in sixth. Jonny Gomes came into play left with Daniel Nava moving to right in the top of the seventh.

The Red Sox lead the White Sox 7-5.
