Battle Ground school administrators given new assignments

Jann Byrd, assistant principal at Battle Ground High School, has been named principal at Chief Umtuch Middle School. She replaces Dave Cresap, who has been appointed Battle Ground Public Schools’ director of school improvement and assessment. Cresap replaces Bruce Kelley, who is retiring Oct. 1 after 33 years with the district. The appointments, approved by the school board on Aug. 26, are effective Oct. 1.
