CINCINNATI (AP) — Reds LHP Tony Cingrani left his start against the Chicago Cubs two outs into the second inning with back spasms.

Cingrani (7-3) was in his second start since coming off the 15-day disabled list on Thursday. He’d been out since August 25 with a lower back strain.

He allowed a single and walk in a scoreless first inning, then a double and massive, 470-foot, two-run home run by Welington Castillo in the second. After getting Ryan Sweeney to fly out to left field for the second out, Cingrani called out a Reds trainer. The two spoke before both walked to the Reds dugout.

Right-hander Greg Reynolds replaced Cingrani with the Cubs leading, 2-0.
