Broncos practice in steady rain

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Champ Bailey wore a rain jacket and slogged through puddles as he ran in a steady drizzle Thursday while his Denver Broncos teammates went through practice.

The area has been hit hard by torrential rain, leading to flooding in Northern Colorado, especially mountain communities around Boulder. The Broncos have a nearby indoor training facility for bad weather, but practiced on the turf as they prepare for the Giants in New York on Sunday.

Bailey (left foot) and tight end Joel Dreessen (knee) worked out on an adjacent field as Peyton Manning & Co. went through drills. Manning was slinging passes in the wet weather with a glove on his throwing hand.

Linebacker Wesley Woodyard returned to practice after hurting his right ankle in the opener.
