Prep highlights: Low scores all around as River golf tops Fort

Three golfers shot below-par rounds as the Columbia River boys golf team beat Fort Vancouver Thursday at Lewis River.

For River, Brandon Barnes and Spencer Long both shot 1-under 34s. That score was matched by Fort’s Spencer Tibbits, his third below-par round in three dual matches this season.

Stars of the day

• Chelsea Breault, La Center girls soccer, scored two second-half goals to rally the Wildcats to a 2-1 win over Toledo/Winlock.

• Brian Humphreys, Camas boys golf, shot a 2-under-par 34 at Camas Meadows as Camas beat Evergreen.

• Tanner Huddleston, Woodland boys golf, shot a 1-under-par 34 at Lewis River as Woodland beat Ilwaco.

• Brooke VanSickle, Battle Ground volleyball, registered 20 kills, two blocks, six aces, eight digs and 11 assists as the Tigers got a rare win over Prairie.

• Megan LaFond, Union volleyball, had 14 kills and six aces in a win over Columbia River.

• Dalaney Tuholski, Heritage volleyball, had 15 kills and nine service points in a win over Hockinson.

• Lizzie Sheldon, Seton Catholic girls soccer, had two goals and two assists in an 11-0 win over Stevenson.
