ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Washington Redskins kicker Kai Forbath has a sore right groin that might keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

Forbath is listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Coach Mike Shanahan says he first learned that Forbath’s kicking leg was sore on Thursday. Shanahan says Forbath will test the leg Saturday, and the Redskins will then decide whether they need to sign a fill-in.

Shanahan says one candidate is John Potter, who was Forbath’s token competition during training camp. Shanahan jokes that he doesn’t know where Potter is, adding: “If you find out, though, let me know.”

Forbath set an NFL record last year when he made 17 consecutive field goal attempts to begin a career. He missed his only attempt in this year’s season opener.
