1A football: Seton Catholic 34, Ilwaco 16

CAMAS — Will Noce-Sheldon threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as Seton Catholic beat Ilwaco 34-16 on Saturday.

Justin James had touchdown catches of 26, 45 and 71 yards as the Cougars improved to 1-1 in the 1A Trico League.

Noce-Sheldon, a junior had nearly 200 of his 281 passing yards in the second half as the Cougars broke open a game tied 8-8 at halftime.

Seton Catholic now has as many wins as it did all of last year, its first of organized football.

“We’ve grown so much from last year,” Noce-Sheldon said. “Our mentality, school spirit and positive attitude especially.”
