OTHELLO — A woman who worked as a teacher in Othello pleaded guilty Monday to molesting a 10-year-old boy.

Lisa Davis pleaded guilty to child molestation in a deal with Adams County prosecutors who agreed to a four-year prison sentence. Since she has no criminal record, she may qualify for a three-year rehabilitation program for sex offenders with the prison time reduced to one year.

She’ll be sentenced Oct. 28.

KREM reports that Davis was placed on administrative leave after she was accused in July, and she later resigned.

The Othello School District said the inappropriate conduct began around May 30 with the boy in her reading class at Scootney Springs Elementary School. Investigators said she also took the boy to a movie.

Another teacher alerted school administrators.
