A deep Union boys golf team won the Titan Cup, a Ryder-Cup format tournament, held at Camas Meadows on Monday.

Union won the match play singles 7 1/2-2 1/2 over Columbia River.

Camas placed third, and Mountain View fourth.

Union coach Gary Mills said the entire team contributed to the victory. He pointed out players like Jace Curtin, Cason Boyce, Ryan Young and Neal Brown.

“They won both their matches, and won crucial singles match points to clinch the cup for Union,” Mills said.

Union beat Mountain View 5-0 in the alternate shot portion of the Titan Cup to advance to the final. Columbia River tied Camas, and advanced on a tiebreaker.

Stars of the day

Neesha Godbole, Mountain View girls soccer, had a goal and two assists in a 5-0 win over R.A. Long.

Diego De La Torre, Hockinson golf, shot an even-par 34 at Orchard Hills for medalist honors in Hockinson’s 145-186 win over Washougal.
