Central Park — Friends honored the memory of Vancouver Fire Capt. Carl Murray last month with a friendly soccer match between two of his former teams. The Carl Murray Testimonial Match was an informal game at Clark College between Fat Tuesday’s Vancouver and Kell’s FC, from Portland. Murray died July 30 from cancer. Kell’s FC won the match, 4-1, and took home the Carl Murray Memorial trophy. The event also raised $940 for the Vancouver Fire Fighters Union, Local 452 Peer Charity fund.
