MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Maya Moore has been one of the most celebrated women’s basketball players to ever take the court. She was a star in high school and a star at UConn before the Minnesota Lynx drafted her No. 1 overall in 2011.

Now in her third season in the WNBA, Moore has become the virtuoso in the pro game that everyone expected. She averaged a career-high 18.5 points per game in the regular season and became the first player in WNBA history to lead the league in both 3-point percentage and 3-pointers made.

She was named Western Conference player of the month in August and September.

Moore’s Lynx open the postseason with a game against Seattle on Friday night.
