Non-league football: Skyview 24, Lakes 19

Skyview rebounded from last week’s bizarre last-second loss by winning on the road in Lakewood.

Nate Arriola had 95 yards rushing and the Storm defense held tough at the end. An late interception by Jacob Dennis sealed the deal for Skyview (1-2).

Videos of last week’s freakish end against rival Columbia River have been shown nationwide, including on Monday Night Football.

“It was probably the best week of practice we’ve had,” Skyview assistant coach Aaron Hazel said. “They hadn’t forgotten about that play, but they concentrated on what needed to be done. They didn’t watch ESPN or Fox Sports or any of that.”
