A fire destroyed a mobile home Friday night in the Orchards area of Vancouver.

The fire was reported about 8:15 p.m. in a mobile home in Sifton Gardens Mobile Estates, 5900 N.E. 131st Ave., south of Fourth Plain Road.

Crews arriving on scene found a double-wide mobile home engulfed in flame, with fire coming from all four sides, according to emergency radio traffic. Crews worked to protect neighboring structures.

The mobile home was considered a total loss. One person was displaced.

Early Saturday, the Red Cross reported that the fire displaced two adults, one teen, and five pets, which included three dogs that perished and two pythons that are missing.

Red Cross officials said they provided assistance of immediate lodging, food, clothing and comfort kits. The family was also provided with referrals to health and mental health services.
